Founded in 2007 by Christina and Matt Berlin, Other Paths, Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange, immersive travel, and lasting human connection.

We believe the most memorable journeys go beyond the usual itinerary. They make room for conversation, shared meals, unexpected discoveries, extraordinary landscapes, and the perspective that comes from experiencing a place through the people who call it home.

Why Other Paths

Our name reflects a simple belief: there is more than one way to understand the world.

Sometimes understanding comes through adventure. Sometimes it begins in conversation over a shared meal, on a quiet road beyond the usual tourist route, or while listening to a story you would never have heard otherwise. We create opportunities for people to encounter Kenya beyond the postcard—to experience its wildlife, landscapes, creativity, hospitality, and culture through genuine connection with the people who know it best.
